Just about every time I want to do just sit down on the couch or hop into bed to relax or de-stress, there is always a couple things that I forgot to do or put off right until the end of the day.
For example, last night while I was walking into the bedroom to get ready to hop into bed, I remembered that I forgot to move my car from the street to the driveway and put the garbage out for the following morning.
Of course I remember this is after I’ve locked up and shut down the house for the night.
I’ll just wake up early tomorrow and do it then.
That’s going to work just like every other time I’ve tried to leave it until morning.
I’ll end up missing the garbage truck like I do every time I don’t put the garbage out the night before.
It always seems like the garbage people know exactly when I’m procrastinating and go by my house first to teach me that life-lesson.
Then I’ll just be stuck with an even more smelly garbage can than the week before.
As for leaving the car on the road, well, I’ll just have to roll the dice on that one.
I am so lazy sometimes.
If I just take action right away, the less time I spend thinking about doing it and just do it, the faster I’m going to get to where I want to be.
And on top of that, I won’t have to think about it anymore because what needs to be done is done.
Ok, I give.
So I moved the car into the driveway and then rolled the trash can out to the curb.
It took all of 3 minutes…
Standing in the doorway to my bedroom thinking about not doing it took more effort.
The moral of this story?
Don’t be lazy.
Just get done what needs to be done so you don’t have to think about it anymore.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
